"I like volunteering with the Boys' Brigade because I get to make a difference!"

WHO ARE WE?

The Boys’ Brigade is the oldest Christian uniformed youth organisation in the United Kingdom. It provides a balanced programme of activities for children and young people from 5 to 18 years old to help them develop lifelong skills and friendships. Our companies offer sports, structured badgework programmes, musical tuition (as part of marching bands), the Duke of Edinburgh Award and much more! There's something for everyone in the Boys' Brigade.

The Bromley Battalion is a group of 9 Boys' Brigade companies in the London Borough of Bromley, Bexley and Kent. We also work closely with the West Kent and Croydon Boys' Brigade Battalions.

Our work is split into different age groups:

  • Anchor Section – for children aged 5 to 8 years

  • Junior Section – for children aged 8 to 11 years

  • Company Section – for children aged 11 to 15 years

  • Seniors – for young people aged 15 to 18 years

Our Object

The Object of The Boys’ Brigade is:

“The advancement of Christ’s kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness."

"I like being in the Boys' Brigade because I learn things and have fun with friends!"

The Boys' Brigade is a registered Charity in England & Wales (305969).
